Cheryl Stokes
I am Cheryl Stokes and I am excited to join the EAC as the Group 4 representative.
I am a lifetime resident of Fairfax County, from my childhood home of Alexandria to my present home in Fairfax.
I have worked for Fairfax County for 7 years (if you don’t count the years I spent on the school bus with mother). I began my time at the Park Authority in 2018 as a recreational program assistant at the Audrey Moore REC Center. Over the last 7 years I have served as the recreational programs director at 3 REC Centers focusing on planning programs covering all ages and demographics as well as children’s camps. Currently, I am serving in the Public Information Office in the Herrity building.
In my free time I like to indulge my hobby of taking up new hobbies and volunteering with community based programs.
I look forward to spreading awareness of the programs and support the EAC offers. I hope to inspire others to seek out opportunities to advocate for their peers. My goal is to be an active and engaging trusted member of this counsel.
